Stakes or tomato cages are essential for providing support as the plants grow, ensuring they receive optimal sunlight from all angles.

Consistent watering is crucial for developing juicy, plump tomatoes. Water deeply and regularly, avoiding frequent shallow watering. To prevent diseases like blight, refrain from wetting the leaves. Consider utilizing a soaker hose or drip irrigation system to deliver water directly to the roots.

Harvesting

For the juiciest tomatoes, wait until the tomatoes are fully ripe on the vine, displaying vibrant color and a slight give when gently squeezed. Avoid picking tomatoes prematurely to allow them to develop their full flavor and sweetness. Pruning your tomatoes once a week is a good routine.

Homegrown tomatoes taste fresher and have better flavor compared to store-bought ones that may have been picked before fully ripened.
