Dog nutrition helpful tips: For your furry friend to be healthy and happy. Come and be part of our paw-some journey. Each dog is unique, and their nutritional needs may vary. Furthermore, based on factors such as breed, age, size, activity level, and any underlying health conditions. Select dog foods that are formulated to meet your dog’s nutritional requirements and provide a balanced mix of proteins. Nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining your dog’s health and longevity. By understanding the key takeaways from nutrition and applying them to your dog’s diet and lifestyle. You can ensure they receive the essential nutrients they need to thrive. My Shih Zu (Gizmo) and Husky-Malamut (Shoto) definitely have different diets.

Proteins

Proteins are crucial for building and repairing body tissues. Dogs can produce only 13 out of 23 amino acids needed for proteins; the remaining 10 must come from their diet. Please make sure you read the Nutrition Label in your dog food. This will assure you; your dog is getting enough protein in their daily food.

Water

Dogs can lose all body fat and half their protein. However, losing just 10% of their body water could be life-threatening. Ensure your dog always has access to fresh, clean water.

Healthy Snacks

Carrots provide a crunchy treat rich in vitamins and minerals, and they are one of Shoto and Gizmo’s favorites. Strawberries offer a sweet and antioxidant-packed option. Bananas are favored for their potassium content and easy digestibility.

Another key point to consider is the benefit of oranges with their burst of vitamin C because oranges add hydration, this is ultimately important for my furry friends since we live in Arizona.

I ensure my furry friends enjoy a balanced and delicious diet.
